My film directing and writing showreel outside of advertising. My film making work spans corporates, charity films, documentaries, dramas and poetry films (see for more)

I'm an award-winning scriptwriter and film maker, working mostly through my own company Hurcheon Films ( but also other production companies as a writer and/or director.

In 2021, I completed two short films (shot during 2020) one of which has won seven awards already, produced another for someone else, and wrote a 10-minute script overnight for the Festival of Fleeting Words, a 24-hour online theatre challenge creating "Goodbye Space Station Gamma 45".

At the same time, I'm finessing what I aim to be my feature debut and developing other TV and film projects with my literary agent Meg Davis at the Ki Agency.

My latest commission is a radio drama released as a podcast in August 2021 - find out more on the Audio page of this website.

As you'll see elsewhere on the website, I'm an established journalist, but I've also published short stories and joke books.

The trailer for "Put Away", a short film I completed as writer/director/producer in 2021 - inspired by the isolation of the lock down. It's also proof of concept for a feature script.

The film itself has won awards for Editing, Best Short Foreign Language Film, Best Social Awareness Film, Best Actress Jury's Award, Exceptional Merit and Best Long Form Monologue at multiple UK and international festivals.

These are stills for the original Japanese/USA version of “Ninja Warrior”. I wrote over 80 scripts of narration and ‘as live’ comedy commentary for the UK re-versioning (Challenge TV/Pintsize Pictures)

A heart and arrow woven from willow created for a Valentine’s window display in a London florist’s shop. They added the flowers. I regularly teach willow weaving.

I designed, knitted and created the pattern for the long sleeveless cardigan which was featured in the UK edition of "Vogue".

A CV-19 management qualification for working in films
